You Don’t Have to Go to the Gym

Health and fitness is a huge industry that is on the uproar. Everyone wants to look good and feel good, and ultimately BE HEALTHY.

Society makes you think that you need to go to the gym in order to get exercise. They push you and tell you that it is the only way to get in shape and be healthy. Although the gym is a valid option to take to get in shape, it is not the end-all be-all, and thats a fact. All you need is you, and nothing else!

Have you ever heard the saying that “the world is your gym?” You literally can get fit and healthy anywhere you want! So why not save a couple of bucks on that gym membership and use your office as your gym?

All you need now is the knowledge and the know-how to actually utilize whats around you to get fit and healthy at work.

The Office Is Your Gym

For those 0f us who work at a desk job all day, it is hard to find the time and the will power to drive to the gym and workout after. I am a huge believer in getting the most out of your day.

Theres no better feeling than coming home after a long day at work knowing that you have got a lot done that day!

Everyone has this predisposition that in order to get healthy they need to lift weights. I want to introduce something that you should get really familiar with…  YOUR BODY WEIGHT.

You don’t need any extra weight to workout with. Unless you are following workouts with strict form, theres a good possibility that you might just injure yourself.

There are so many ways you can use your own body weight to get a great workout.

There are tons of different routines that you can do and remember, anything is better than nothing. Even the simple act of walking up the stais instead of taking the elevator can do you wonders!

Change Your Perception

I don’t want you to just only look at your office or desk as a place to only work, and the gym as a place for only working out. I want you to change your perception and start viewing your office as a place where you can do a bunch of different things: Socialize, get work done, workout etc.

So the next time that you are about to go to the gym, or thinking that you haven’t gotten any exercise, look at whats around you. I’m sure that you can find something to use to lift or do pushups off of! And if not, you always have your body weight!
